Charity Clothing Pickup (CCP) organizes the collection of clothing and small household items across the United States. CCP then forwards the donated items to local and national charities and non-profit organizations, such as the Paralyzed Veterans of America Florida Gulf Coast Chapter and the American Red Cross.
CCP presents each donor with a check that can be presented to their charities of choice. The amount on each check depends on the volume of clothes donated.
In some states, such as in Texas (which has thousands of clothing donation boxes), CCP offers a Virtual Clothing Drive or referral program, where the referring individuals/organizations may also receive a check for every donation.
As opposed to for-profit operations, which sells donated clothes, CCP only collects clothes for transmitting to beneficiary charities. Companies are welcome to sponsor donation boxes and set up their own donation drives.
This organization accepts used clothes, as well as towels, bedding and small household items. They also accept threadbare fabrics, as these can be recycled.
CCP sets up clothing drop boxes and sheds at different retail facilities. Beneficiary charities are clearly marked in front of each box/shed. All maintenance, collection and insurance activities for the boxes/sheds are fully the responsibility of Charity Clothing Pickup.
The Florida branch of this charity has drop boxes in Orlando and Tampa Bay. Ohio has boxes in Cincinnati/Dayton Area.
This charity supports at-home pickups of used clothing. Pickup can be scheduled through phone, through their Facebook page, or through a form on their website.
If a donor is located near one of their bases of operations, they can go to the sub-site of the state they are in, and schedule pickup from there.
CCP operates out of several cities and states. For the clothing drop bins in Florida, for example, CCP has partnerships with the American Red Cross of Central Florida and Paralyzed Veterans of America. In Arizona, it is also partnered with the National Children’s Cancer Society in addition to the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
You can find all of the clothing donations bins near you in Florida as well if you like – there are hundreds of locations scattered around the state.
